kitty, kitty

I actually wanted to DO something today but like everyone else at the moment I caught a cold and spent the day sleeping and feeling sorry for myself. Pity meee~

To make myself feel better I thought about sharing some more photos of my cat. She is the best cat in the world <3

Queen Isis

Still working on some Videogame ATCs...I want to send them asap! I messed up the first version though and have to redo two of them >__<

Since I don't have any crafty things to share I thought I introduce the new queen of our house. I posted photos of Isis before, but she is living with us for a month now. We love her dearly but the reason she lives with us is a very sad one.
My grandpa who loved her so much passed away and a few days later my grandma got in an accident and broke her hip. It was a big shock for all of us.

Whenever we were at my grandparents place my grandpa was sitting on the couch, Isis besides him often her head resting in his palm. He always called her "my girl" and said what a wonderful cat she is.

Hmm...I just wanted to share cute cat photos and now I got all sad again ):

She is sooo lazy, but she loves playing with the amigurumi jelly-fish.

Her favourite activity.

Poor thing can't go outside anymore. At my grandmas place she has a nice garden and here she can only look out the window.

The Goonies cross stitch - finished with pattern

I finally got around finishing it! I only added the skulls because there was so much empty space... I still feel like there is something missing, but I consider it finished!

And now on to the patterns! I used the title screen of the NES game to make it.

Here is the logo (also from the NES game). It's quite big, that's why I did not use it.

This is the smaller logo that I used on the towel. I free-styled it...it's not perfect, but it was my first :p

I know it's very simple, but it's one of my first cross-stitches. It's the first one where I bothered to use some kind of technique so that it will look good on the back, too.

new DVDs

I feel bad. I really shouldn't spend money, but I did anyway. The DVDs were all quite cheap and all were films I really wanted to own...but still.

Actually I only wanted to order Goonies and Stand by me but then I realized the amazon shipping costs and I had to search for a few more ^^;

When I watched The Goonies last year I noticed how much I had forgotten about the movie. I only watched it as child and the only thing I really remembered were Sloth and the Hand-in-mixer scene.

The next film is Witches! I loved and feared this movie as child. The witch was so screepy.

"Stand by me" is another movie I remember watching on TV, but I could never remember the title. I also don't remember the ending at all...just the leeches :p

The last one is a Grimms fairy tale adaptation. There a a bunch of them all of them from 80s Czechoslovakia. They stray quite a bit from the source materials, but that makes them even better movies. The costumes are amazing. Really great family movies :)
This one is Mother Holle/ Frau Holle...I read that that fairy-tale isn't really well known in USA and UK which I can't understand at all.
I found this nice homepage that has a bunch of stills from the film.

Somehow I just needed those feel-good movies from my childhood ^^;

cake-cookies??

One week without a post? Bad me~ I'm just horribly unmotivated at the moment.
But I finally managed two finish two ATCs...now it's Inchies again :D

Last week I made some cookies that turned out tasking rather like cake, but I actually prefer them not being so dry. They are not that beautiful, but it was my first try.

Well...maybe I manage to be a bit more creative this week.

Whee~ New games!

Sometimes you just fell like giving yourself a little present. I actually hate spending money, especially for myself, but I haven't bought anything for myself in months and wanted to cheer me up a bit :p
I got these 3 japanese Super NES /Super Famicom games from ebay. The delivery was so fast considering they came all the way from Sapporo. I was so happy when the package arrived. They are in very good condition and not that expensive. I payed less than 23€ for all three including shipping. Not too bad.

Here they are.

To be honest...I ordered Mystic Ark and Lennus mainly because I really liked the artwork. I only noticed later that Lennus was released in NA as Paladins Quest. It got really generic looking box art and very average ratings. The character designs and in-game graphics are very neat though. Very bright, pastel colors and the buildings and background looks quite cartoony.
Mystic Ark is a sequel to 7th Saga. Later was released in NA, too. Mystic Ark looks very nice. I love the battle graphics.
Romancing Saga 2 I had to get because I already own part 1 and part 3. Now I have them all complete :)

It's just strange that I'm not really playing much these days. Can't stop collecting though...and I could never give them away ^^;

BTW...started a cross-stitch project yesterday :)

More kittens

My mom took those pictures at her workplace. She was actually there when the cat gave birth and helped her :)

The pics are just too cute so I had to share them.

I want to cuddle them, too )=

Finished 6 red-themed Inchies for a swap yesterday. I really hope my partners like them. I'll send them away today and a postcard for another swap.
Yay~
I just need to be carefull not to sign up for to many swaps....3 a months are more than enough ^^;

I want to to some cross-stitching again. I saw a motif that I just have to do!

A new start :)

Well...I decided to start using this blog again.
Mainly to show the different stuff I craft in my freetime. To reach more people I also want to write in English from now on.

My nick on craftster is ZombieLili and I just started there, too...but it's a great place to get inspired and I already have tons of ideas in my head.
